6th JKAA Instructors Training Seminar

On 22nd and 23rd May 2021, we held the 6th Annual JKAA Instructors Training Seminar.

After not being able to conduct this training in 2020 due to COVID-19, it was wonderful to have been able to finally organise this training seminar and have our JKAA instructors in the same room training and learning from each other.

The seminar was overseen by our JKAA Chief Instructor, Takaatsu Nishimura Shihan. Members of the JKAA Technical Board were also present to teach at the seminar – Ian Cook Sensei (JKA Healesville), Gerald Boyle Sensei (JKA Sutherland Shire), Greg Symons Sensei (JKA Brisbane-Grange) and Phil Young Sensei (JKA Mildura).

The seminar was very informative and a great opportunity to align everyone’s understanding of various technical aspects of JKA karate and judging/competition protocols.

Overall, the seminar was a very successful event. Hope to have similar events soon!
